Kogi state governor Yahaya bello was commended for his detribalized leadership style as monarchs, young men and women cut across the nine local government areas of Kogi East gathered in government house Lokoja to pay their solidarity support to Governor Bello for his wish to be reelected come November 2nd, 2019.
The nine local government’s traditional rulers, national and state assembly members and elders forum who jointly endorse Governor Yahaya Bello for second term said, is a mandate they have taken upon themselves to ensure Yahaya Bello succeed in order to let him continue the good works he has begun.
They appreciated him for many roads and bridge constructions he embarked on across Kogi east, schools rehabilitations, hospital and cottages renovations but still requested for more infrastructural development in terms of road rehabilitation, water reticulation, electricity, and health care delivery facilities in some remote areas and also seek upgrading of some traditional rulers’ stool.
They also want him to create conducive atmosphere for agricultural development in Kogi east to thrive.
Amongst the traditional rulers said Governor Bello has facilitated bank of agriculture which will soon be built in Kogi east and cashew plantation which already been approved.
Governor Bello was given an accolade for protecting lives and properties of the people through his administration’s security surveillance.
They urged Governor Bello to be focused and to refuse distraction of some oppositions who spread negative stories about him around the social media.
Youths leaders and key political party members said that what the youths and the people now enjoy as part of dividends of democracy was never given to them during the past administrations
Among traditional rulers present are
Onu Ibaji, Onu Ife, the traditional ruler of Ankpa, Bassa, Ofu, Dekina and Ayingba.
Others are monarchs of Olamaboru, Odolu, and Idah.
Former and present state house members and Some key politicians were also present.
Governor Bello promised the people of his commitment to ensure good things don’t elude them. And on state workers salaries, he promised to pay all outstandingl as soon as the CBN Governor Godwin Emiefile releases the bail out balance of N30.8bln.
He urged people to be patience with his administration that among his mandates is to make Kogi state a hub of businesses and industries that will become channels where thousands of graduates and teeming youths will be empowered and engaged to reduce unemployment in every community.
The governor since the beginning of the week has received traditional rulers and people of Kogi central, west and east senatorial zones for the singular act of appreciating his performances and endorsing him for second term.
