Kogi Gov. Sympathizes With Family Of APC Chieftain Who Died While Casting Vote

Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello has commiserated with the family of a Local Government APC Executive Council Member in Mopamuro, Hon Peter Lot, who slumped and died after casting his votes in Sunday’s House of Assembly Poll in Mopamuro LGA.

The Governor in a condolence message through his Director General of Media and Publicity, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, described the death of Hon Lot as a big loss to the Ayedayo Amuro people and the entire Kogi State APC Family as a whole.

“Hon. Lot was a dedicated party member who has diligently served our party and the people of Ayedayo Amuro community and Mopamuro LGA. He was a passionate and hardworking party leader who devoted his time and life to the advancement of the welfare of his people.

“The sad occurrence of his death which occurred after casting his vote in the rescheduled House of Assembly election in Mopamuro LGA was unfortunate.

“Our hearts are with his family, Ayedayo Amuro community, Amuro Community and the entire Mopamuro LGA. We will miss his charismatic leadership sorely as a people and as a party.

“May God grant all of us the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.

Late Hon. Peter Ige Lot was Ward Party chairman 2002-2008, was appointed Special Adviser (SA) on Women Affairs and Youth Empowerment to the Local Government Chairman of Mopamuro on 24th December, 2008.

Earlier, Hon. Lot served as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Women Affairs to the Local Government Chairman (2010), Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Revenue Generation Mopamuro LGA (2011), Assistant Treasurer, APC LGA EXCO from 2015 till he breathe his last.
