1600 CORPS MEMBERS PASS OUT IN KOGI STATE

NO FEWER THAN 1,600 BATCH ‘A’ CORPS MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS (NYSC) IN KOGI WERE DISCHARGED FROM THEIR ONE YEAR SERVICE ON THURSDAY 14TH MARCH, 2019

REV. ADEDAPO TAYO, THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, PRESS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS, NYSC, DISCLOSED THIS IN AN INTERVIEW WITH JOURNALISTS IN LOKOJA.

THE PASSED OUT CORPS MEMBERS RECEIVED THEIR DISCHARGE CERTIFICATES SIMULTANEOUSLY IN THE 21 LOCAL GOVERNMENTS OF THEIR PRIMARY ASSIGNMENTS ACROSS THE STATE.

TAYO GAVE THANKS TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD FOR KEEPING THE LIVES OF THE CORPS MEMBERS, SAYING NO LIFE WAS LOST DURING THE PERIOD UNDER REVIEW.

HE SAID THAT TWO CORPS MEMBERS: DR ALABI BOLUWAJI, KG/18A0445 AND SEUN OYELUDE, KG/18A0007, RECEIVED THE STATE’S HONOURS AWARD.

TAYO SAID AS PART OF THE END OF SERVICE YEAR ACTIVITIES, THE CORPS MEMBERS ENGAGED IN SANITATION PROJECTS, VISITATION TO FEDERAL PRISONS AND ORPHANAG IN THE STATE.

ALSO, THE CORPS MEMBERS, ON WEDNESDAY, CELEBRATED THEIR END OF YEAR PROGRAMME AT THE GLASS HOUSE, IN GOVERNMENT HOUSE , LOKOJA, FOR IMPACTFUL AND SUCCESSFUL SERVICE YEAR WITH SEVERAL DIGNITARIES IN ATTENDANCE,

THE NYSC COORDINATOR IN THE STATE, MRS OLUDOLAPO AHILE, DESCRIBED THE BATCH ‘A’ CORPS CORPS MEMBERS AS VERY UNIQUE WITH OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE PROJECTS.

AHILE ALSO COMMENDED THE OUT-GONE CORPS MEMBERS FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE RECENT ELECTIONS.

THE STATE COORDINATOR PRAISED THE GOVERNOR, YAHAYA BELLO, FOR PROVIDING CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR A PEACEFUL SERVICE YEAR THROUGH ONGOING IMPROVEMENT IN THE CAMP FACILITIES.

SHE APPLAUDED THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE FOR THEIR HOSPITALITY TOWARD THE CORPS MEMBERS AND THANKED THE SECURITY AGENCIES FOR ENSURING SECURITY OF CORPS MEMBERS AT THEIR LOCATIONS AND LODGES.

THE PASSING OUT OF THE BATCH “A“ CORPS MEMBERS IN THE STATE WAS DEVOID OF THE USUAL MATCH PASS AMONG OTHERS.
